Little by little we are finding out. We first heard "Pillowtalk" a while ago, which soared to the tops of the charts right away. People waited for Zayn's next move. This was executed on his first television appearance as a solo artist on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Zayn performed "Pillowtalk" and then debuted "It's You". Then, on the 26th, it became available along with the preorder of his album. The music video is available exclusively on Apple Music (but of course we can always find a way around that).
The song is about a strong woman, "she got, she got, she got/Her own reasons for talking to me/She don't, she don't, she don't/Give a fuck about what I need." He then croons in his signature falsetto "it's you". The beat behind his vocals is simple; there's little to no instrumentals. Zayn just wants to feature his voice and his abilities, which he knows he's good at. The lyrics can be hard to make out at times, but dang does he sound good. The music video shows him brooding over a beautiful thin blonde woman (not girlfriend Gigi Hadid, but Transformers star Nicola Perez). For any newcomers, that basically sums up Zayn Malik.
"It's You" is off Zayn's debut album Mind Of Mine, which is now available for preorder on iTunes. The song is also available to stream on Spotify. The 18-track record is set to be released on March 25, in just under a month.
