Mod Sun and Machine Gun Kelly are a great collaboration. They both take a very artistic approach to their art.
"All Night Long" is another song about how MGK feels about fame and success. In it, he recalls how he first head his song on the radio, and how he felt about it: "Remember ridin' 'round in Ashleigh's car though?/When the radio first played our song though?/Or at her house when MTV first showed my face/That clip was crazy, I swear it felt like we won the lotto/But a million bucks can buy priceless moments."
In the album recording, MGK recalls the time Sean Combs, aka P Diddy, called for him. It involves a trip to New York, a car crash, and a hospital. The album version clocks in at around seven minutes. But in the video, that story is cut; and the video clocks in at a little over three minutes. MGK has done this before with "Spotlight." In the video for "Spotlight," Machine Gun Kelly only raps the second verse, the first verse is not included. It makes the video much shorter, which means less to film, which means less money to produce. Videos being cheaper to produce means he can make more. I know we'll see another Machine Gun Kelly video soon.
"All Night Long" is off Machine Gun Kelly's sophomore album General Admission, produced through Bad Boy Records. The album hit #1 on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. It is now currently available on iTunes and Spotify. Machine Gun Kelly has a couple shows lined up; his next one is May 20 in Columbus, Ohio for Rock On The Range, which also has the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Bring Me The Horizon, and A Day To Remember scheduled to perform.
